Expression and clinical significance of IL-17B and STAT3 in epithelial ovarian cancer

目的:探究白介素(IL)-17B、细胞信号和转录激活因子(STAT)3蛋白在上皮性卵巢癌(EOC)组织中的表达及临床意义。方法:免疫组化法检测IL-17B和STAT3在50例EOC、28例卵巢上皮性良性肿瘤及18例正常卵巢组织中的表达情况,探讨IL-17B和STAT3表达与EOC临床病理特征及预后的关系。结果:EOC中IL-17B和STAT3表达与FIGO分期、病理类型、组织分化程度有关(P<0.05),与年龄、淋巴结转移无关(P>0.05)。IL-17B和STAT3在EOC中表达呈正相关(r=0.364)。EOC中IL-17B和STAT3高表达与患者不良预后密切相关,IL-17B和STAT3高表达者的总生存期明显缩短(P<0.05)。结论:IL-17B和STAT3可能参与EOC的发生、发展,有望作为EOC临床预后预测指标。

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of interleukin(IL)-17B,cell signaling and transcriptional activator(STAT)3 protein in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues.Methods:The expressions of IL-17B and STAT3 in 50 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer,28 cases of benign ovarian epithelial tumor and 18 cases of normal ovary tissues was detected by immunohistochemical staining.The relationship between IL-17B and STAT3 and the clinicopathological features of epithelial ovarian cancer was investigated.The prognosis was analyzed.Results:The expressions of IL-17B and STAT3 in epithelial ovarian cancer was related to FIGO stage,pathological type,and degree of tissue differentiation(P<0.05),but not with age and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05).The expressions of IL-17B and STAT3 in epithelial ovarian cancer was positively correlated(r=0.364).The IL-17B and STAT3 high-expression group in epithelial ovarian cancer was closely related to the poor prognosis of patients,and the overall survival of patients with high IL-17B and STAT3 expression was significantly shortened(P<0.05).Conclusion:IL-17B and STAT3 may be involved in the occurrence and development of epithelial ovarian cancer,and are expected to be used as predictors of clinical prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer.
