Parental support has an important influence on elementary school students'math learning. In this paper,1299 primary school senior students in H City,Z Province were investigated to explore the influence of parental support on the mathematics academic performance of elementary school students. The study found a significant positive correlation between parental support and academic performance in mathematics;students'positive emotions play a partial mediating role in the relationship between parental support and mathematics academic performance;parental support can not only predict children's ma thematics academic performance directly, but also indirectly through the mediating effect of learning engagement;there is a direct positive relationship between positive emotion and learning engagement, and at the same time, positive emotion and learning engagement show a chain mediation effect between parental support and mathematics academic performance. This suggests that the government, schools, teachers and parents should give full play to the power of multi-party cooperation to provide strong support for elementary school students'math learning.F or example, government departments and s chools should strengthen guidance and supervision, and provide policy and institutional guarantees;teachers should improve their own quality and promote the joint efforts of family and school;parents should strengthen their own family education ability and provide appropriate academic and emotional support;and so on.
