I.Novikov's Study of Text Semantics

于20世纪80年代开启了俄语语篇语义研究的先河,采取心理语言学的研究路径,将语篇视为言语思维单位,认为语篇语义作为思维组织,是理解的结果。他主张在揭示语篇理解机制的基础上进行语篇语义研究,强调语篇接受者在这一过程中的能动性,从结构、形成机制两个方面区分了语篇的两种语义——内涵和涵义,提出用所指图来表征语篇内涵的结构,并深入阐述了涵义的本质,及语篇类型对语篇涵义的制约性。

A.I.Novikov initiated a study of Russian text semantics in 1980s.Taking a psycholinguistic approach,he treated text as a verbal-mental unit,text semantics – a sort of thought as the result of text comprehension.Therefore,he advocated a study of text semantics based on the analysis of text comprehension,in which the initiative role of the text recipient was considered.As a result,two components of text semantic structure – content and sense were distinguished from the aspects of structure and formation mechanism.Furthermore,denotatum graph was proposed as an instrument of representation of the structure of text content in order to formalize it.Meanwhile,the nature of sense and the relationship between text type and sense were explored.
