2008奥帆赛和残奥帆赛的成功举办给青岛留下了一笔宝贵的奥运财富。奥帆赛后,传承奥运文化遗产,打造“帆船之都”成为青岛的主旋律之一。于是,一场接一场顶级帆船赛事在这里上演,青岛逐渐成为各类高端帆船赛事的集聚地,全球几十个国家的帆船爱好者在这里狂欢,国际知名度和影响力不断扩大。在引进赛事的过程中,青岛不断加强与国际帆船运动界的交流,使青岛帆船运动的整体水平达到了一个新的高度,更助推了“帆船之都”扬帆远航。在众多国际帆船赛事中,克利伯环球帆船赛无疑是一场让人难忘的赛事。

Recently,after a tense and fierce contest before the finish line,the Qingdao team,named after the Chinese sailing city,emerged victorious,clinching the championship of Race 7:Endless Discovery in Ha Long Bay,marking their first single-race victory in this season's Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.The race,which departed from the Whitsundays islands in Australia in the southern hemisphere and crossed the equator before heading towards Ha Long Bay in Vietnam,covered a total distance of over 4000 nautical miles.As the race entered its final week,Qingdao maintained a leading position throughout.However,they faced relentless pursuit from behind by Zhuhai and UNICEF teams,especially during the intense showdown in the last morning before the finish line.
