On the Management of Border Areas by Military Officials During Yuan You Period Centering on the Deeds of LIU Shunqing and LIU Changzuo

庆历以后文臣成为经略边疆主力,此后虽有武臣为帅,但多与战事相关。元祐时期,文帅难得,宋廷在吕大防的建议下任命刘舜卿、刘昌祚两位武臣为帅,靖绥边境。但在元祐息兵政策下,刘舜卿、刘昌祚权力受限,未能在御敌过程中有所作为。元祐党争背景下,前线帅臣人选成为宰执政治博弈焦点,武帅被迫卷入党争,成为政治博弈的筹码。
