This paper compares in detail the difference between the new 03 series and old 02 series of UN R117 Uniform provisions concerning the approval of tyres with regard to rolling sound emissions and/or to adhesion on wet surfaces and/or to rolling resistance on the wet grip performance test method of tires.Conduct a detailed comparative analysis of the differences between the new and old series of the standard in terms of road conditions,test environment conditions,vehicle requirements,test tire pressure and load,test data constraints,and test data calculation methods.And compare the differences in the test calculation results of the trailer method using different types of tires under the new and old series of the standard.
