摘要
数字化转型下制造企业的边界重构是知识的动态交互联接,从此视角打开组织边界重构的过程机制,对提升企业敏捷性、共生性具有重要作用。本文采用归纳式单案例研究,通过对制造企业多个层次的深入研究,探讨了数字化转型下企业通过知识耦合进行组织边界重构的机制。本文发现数字化转型下,制造企业运用知识重组(关键点识别、资源编排、匹配)、知识整合(数据挖掘、知识验证、跨界融合)、知识解耦(主动遗忘、流程调优、技术替代)三种知识耦合过程机制来重构组织边界。同时,研究发现创业警觉是潜在的边界重构认知逻辑,制造企业依靠创业警觉认知能力,从不同的行动领域设计边界重构决策。本文研究结论展现了数字化转型下制造企业如何通过知识的交互联接重塑组织边界,以彰显、获取知识权力;为数字化转型下制造企业的组织边界重构提供了新的、系统化的见解;对企业维持与发展知识权力优势、实现数字化转型具有借鉴意义。
The transition from digital production,digital operations to digital services,represents a fundamental change in the manufacturing landscape.Enterprise that does not keep pace with this digital transformation risk becoming obsolete.For the manufacturing sector,digital transformation is no longer optional but a necessary evolution crucial for survival and sustained growth.In the context of digital transformation,boundary reconstruction is the dynamic interaction and connection of key elements of knowledge,and organizational boundary should always maintain a high entrepreneurial alertness of efficient knowledge allocation,search,integration and reconstruction to reshape the enterprise boundary form and functional characteristics to fit uncertain environment.Opening the process mechanism of organizational boundary reconstruction from the perspective of knowledge dynamic interaction plays an important role in improving the agility and symbiosis of manufacturing enterprise under digital transformation.This paper adopts an inductive single case study,which focusing on digital transformation,takes Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd as the case study object to explore valuable research conclusions.First,manufacturing enterprise designs the process mechanism of boundary reconstruction from different fields of action domains(original knowledge structure,new knowledge form,dynamic environment),which provides valuable different conclusions under digital transformation.Secondly,the study also identifies three knowledge coupling mechanisms for organizational boundary reconstruction(knowledge recombination,integration,and decoupling)and the underlying cognitive logic of entrepreneurial alertness.It demonstrates that the knowledge power competition for knowledge value creativity,and reshapes the organizational boundary through the knowledge interaction under digital transformation.Thirdly,it refines the cognitive logic of entrepreneurial alertness for the boundary reconstruction of manufacturing enterprise under digital transformation.The study refines entrepreneurial alertness capabilities such as insight capability of knowledge agglomeration,fusion and analysis,synergy capability of knowledge integration and access,agility capability of knowledge rapid iteration and delivery.Based on the clever application of these capabilities,the enterprise reconstructs boundary to create a digital ecology with agility co-creation,value symbiosis and value win-win.Compared with previous literature,this paper expands on the following aspects.First,manufacturing enterprise relies on multiple boundary reconstruction mechanisms in the context of digital transformation,which fills the gaps left by singular decision-making mechanisms,expands the avenues for integrating boundary decision-making mechanisms into overall strategic models,offers fresh insights into organizational boundary reconstruction under digital transformation.Secondly,it refines that entrepreneurial alertness is the unified cognitive logic behind the boundary reconstruction under of digital transformation,which confirms that the organization’s strategic decision-making behavior is based on the clever application of knowledge power cognition,enriching the relevant research on entrepreneurial alertness.Thirdly,this paper discusses the unique boundary reconstruction decision process and cognitive logic of manufacturing enterprise under digital transformation,and extends the research on the relationship between organizational boundary and knowledge coupling to the context of digital transformation,which not only expands the scope of application of existing theories,but also reveals new principles of theory.The research conclusion provides reference for manufacturing enterprise to maintain and develop knowledge power advantages and realize digital transformation.First,in the context of digital transformation,manufacturing enterprise should align with customer demand changing,embrace digital information,reshape the development concept and business model system,and seize the initiative in business competition.Secondly,enterprise should fully realize that the boundary reconstruction is a multi-level and multidimensional dynamic process,and break through the limitations of time and space to find the most effective solution under digital transformation.Thirdly,managers should design strategic decision-making behaviors in different knowledge action fields under digital transformation.Finally,manufacturing enterprise make boundary reconstruction decisions with more insightful,innovative and challenging mental models,and break through the aggregation and effective use of valuable knowledge,and build a digital ecology of co-creation,symbiosis and win-win under digital transformation.
