This article proposes the idea of establishing marine ranching in the South China Sea area.The article analyzes the strategic significance of establishing the South China Marine Ranching:first,it implements the major strategic deployment of building a powerful maritime country as outlined in the No.1 Document of the Central Government;second,it consolidates China's sovereignty over important sea areas in the South China Sea;third,it utilizes marine resources to promote economic development.At the same time,the article also discusses aquaculture businesses that the South China Marine Ranching can undertake,such as fish farming,shellfish farming,etc.,as well as related measures to ensure its smooth operation.This article believes that the establishment of marine ranching in the South China Sea area will be conducive to China's building of a powerful maritime country and the maintenance of sovereignty over the South China Sea.Besides,cooperation with neighboring regions can also help alleviate tensions in the South China Sea.
