布迪厄社会学视角下《琴道》深度翻译探析

Research on the Thick Translation in The Lore of the Chinese Lute from the Perspective of Bourdieu's Sociology

高罗佩的琴学专著《琴道》使用序言、章节标题、插图、附录等大量内副文本元素,其中引用并翻译的内容占全书的三分之一。高罗佩对这些翻译进行大量注释,呈现出丰富的深度翻译现象。运用法国社会学家布迪厄的“场域”“资本”“惯习”三个核心概念审视该深度翻译现象,发现高罗佩采取厚译策略乃是场域、资本、惯习相互作用的结果。

Multiple peritext elements,such as prefaces,chapter titles,illustrations,appendixes,etc.are used in The Lore of the Chinese Lute,a monograph by Robert Hans van Gulik.The contents quoted and translated for the monograph account for one third of the entire book.These translations are extensively annotated by Gulik,which shows the various phenomena of thick translation.The paper examines the phenomena of thick translation in the monograph by applying the three core concepts of the French sociologist Bourdieu,namely,field,capital and habitus.It is concluded that Gulik's thick translation strategy is a product of interaction among the three concepts of field,capital and habitus.
