Urban Flute Performers in the Jiangnan Region during the 1930s and 1940s

江南都市笛乐演奏家群体,在中国笛乐艺术史上发端于清末民初“环太湖流域”都市中的江南丝竹与戏曲班社艺人组织,在20世纪三四十年代得到了较好的发展。通过对江南都市笛乐演奏家群体形成、传播及其影响进行分析研究,可以厘清江南都市笛乐演奏家群体与江南都市音乐文化变迁、发展之关系,从而揭示该群体在20世纪中国笛乐发展中的地位与重要引领作用。

The community of urban flute performers in the Jiangnan region originated from the Jiangnan silk and bamboo ensembles and opera troupes in the circum-Taihu Lake area at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China.It flourished in the 1930s and 1940s.This article analyzes the formation,dissemination,and impact of the urban flute performers in the Jiangnan region.It aims to clarify the relationship between the urban flute performers and the developments in urban music culture in the Jiangnan region,thereby revealing the significance of this community in the development of Chinese flute music in the 20th century.
