In recent years,virology research has focused on the interaction between viruses and hosts.With the global outbreak of Corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19),the relationship between viruses,hosts,and the environment has attracted widespread attention,and in-depth research on this topic has promoted the development of viral ecology.This article reviews the research progress on the distribution and morphology of viruses in the environment,their survival patterns and transmission modes,as well as research techniques and applications,providing scientific information for a comprehensive understanding of environmental viruses and effective prevention and control.
