Based on the basic situation of the international iron ore market and the evolution of iron ore price fluctuations since the new century,this paper analyzes the relevant contents of the international iron ore price,discusses the current situation of the international iron ore futures market and China’s position in the international iron ore trade,and analyzes the impact of international iron ore price fluctuations on China’s macro economy from the perspectives of the iron and steel industry,economic transmission effect and inflation,and puts forward relevant suggestions.It is necessary to improve the domestic iron ore resource security capacity,establish a domestic circulation recycling and utilization system,construct a diversified import supply system,improve the commodity pricing benchmark supervision system,deepen the development of China’s iron ore futures trading market,in order to effectively respond to the fluctuations of international iron ore prices,and stabilize the market iron ore supply.
