跨境电商、要素流动与产业结构升级

Cross-border E-commerce,Factor Flow and Industrial Structure Upgrading

跨境电商的兴起推动了国际贸易高质量发展,倒逼国内产业结构转型与升级。本文基于2013~2021年全国276个地级及以上城市面板数据,考察跨境电商对产业结构升级的影响以及要素流动的作用机制。研究表明:跨境电商能够促进产业效力提升和产业动力变革,推动产业结构升级;背后的机制是跨境电商通过促进劳动力、资本和技术等生产要素流动,实现了人力资本积累、投资结构转变以及技术创新,间接推动了产业结构升级。进一步研究表明,跨境电商对产业结构升级的作用是非线性的,呈现出“N”型结构特征和区域差异。本文研究为发挥跨境电商产业优势,助力产业结构升级赋能新发展格局提供了经验证据。

The rise of cross-border e-commerce has promoted the high-quality development of international trade and forced the transformation and upgrading of domestic industrial structure.This paper examines the impact of cross-border e-commerce on the upgrading of industrial structure and the mechanism of factor mobility based on the panel data of 276 cities in China from 2013 to 2021.The paper shows that cross-border e-commerce can promote industrial effectiveness enhancement and industrial dynamics change,and promote industrial structure upgrading;the mechanism behind this is that cross-border e-commerce indirectly promotes industrial structure upgrading by facilitating the flow of factors of production,such as labor,capital,and technology,and by realizing the accumulation of human capital,the transformation of the investment structure,and technological innovation.Further research shows that the role of cross-border e-commerce on industrial structure upgrading is non-linear,showing“N”type characteristics and regional differences.This paper provides empirical evidence for utilizing the advantages of cross-border e-commerce industry to help industrial structure upgrading and empower the new development paradigm.
