As a supporting tool for the Communist Party of China’s planning work and scientific decision-making,investigation and research is the basis of planning and the proper way to success. Since the new era,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important statements on the investigation and research of Party members and cadres. These statements scientifically explain the importance of Party members and cadres to carry out investigation and research to deal with the new changes in the world pattern,to grasp the new orientation of national development and to consolidate the foundation of the Party’s long-term governance;They profoundly point out that the investigation and research of Party members and cadres should start from the profound problems existing in the reform,development and stability,the urgent concerns of the people,and the prominent problems faced by promoting the great new project. These statements are a system that is based on practice and on focusing on the origin and source.
