Boyana Church is a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox church located on the outskirts of Sofia,the capital of Bulgaria.It is renowned for its stunning frescoes,which are considered some of the most important examples of medieval Eastern Orthodox art in the world.The church was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979,recognizing its outstanding cultural and historical significance.
