莫言,本名管谟业,男,1955年2月17日出生于潍坊高密县河涯乡平安庄(现为高密市东北乡文化发展区大栏平安村),中国当代作家,中共党员。现为北京师范大学教授,国际写作中心主任,河北大学特聘教授,中国艺术研究院研究员。2012年10月,成为首位中国籍诺贝尔文学奖获得者。

Mo Yan,born Guan Moye on February 17,1955,in Ping'an Village,Heya Town,Gaomi City,Shandong Province,China,is a contemporary Chinese writer and a member of the Communist Party of China.He is now a professor at Beijing Normal University,Director of the International Writing Center,a distinguished professor at Hebei University,and a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Arts.In October 2012,he became the first Chinese writer who was awarded Nobel Prize in Literature,marking a significant milestone in the history of Chinese literature.
