1924年4月22日,“民国第一才女”林徽因作为翻译,陪同在山东参观访问的印度诗人、1913年诺贝尔文学奖获得者泰戈尔,从曲阜来到济南。同行的有诗人、散文家徐志摩。第二天,济南报纸的头版头条新闻大标题称:“东方诗神偕同金童玉女抵济”。报道同时形容:“世界著名长髯诗翁泰戈尔先生与长袍面瘦诗人徐志摩和艳如花的林徽因小姐,如同松竹梅一幅动人的画卷。”
