Survey on the Expectations and Professional Identity of Pursuing MPH

目的调查一年级公共卫生硕士(MPH)就读期望与专业认同现状及影响因素,为公共卫生人才培养提供参考。方法以3所医学院校的一年级MPH为研究对象进行调查,在2023年2月进行入学后回访。结果专业意愿选择是就读期望的影响因素;本科是否参与过科研是入学前专业认同的影响因素;性别、研究生类型和专业意愿选择是入学后专业认同的影响因素。就读期望与专业认同呈显著正相关关系。结论一年级MPH入学前就读期望较高,专业认同度处于中等水平,入学后专业认同度降低。高校应做好MPH思想教育和日常教学工作,制订更加详细的培养方案,有针对地提升MPH专业认同度。

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of fresh MPHs′academic expectations and professional identity,and provide reference for the cultivation of public health personnel.Methods A survey was conducted on fresh MPHs from three medical colleges,and a follow-up visit was conducted after enrollment in February 2023.Results The choice of major intention is a influencing factor of enrollment expectation.Whether undergraduates have participated in scientific research is a factor influencing their professional identity before enrollment or not.Gender,graduates′type,and choice of major intention are the influencing factors of professional identity after enrollment.There is a significant positive correlation between academic expectations and professional identity.Conclusion Fresh MPHs have high expectations for enrollment before enrollment,with a moderate level of professional identity,but a decrease in professional identity after enrollment.Colleges should carry out ideological education and daily teaching of MPH,develop more detailed training plans,and improve MPHs′professional recognition in a targeted manner.
