龙狮运动是香港地区社会喜闻乐见的传统民俗文化之一,在香港地区具有良好的发展基础和传播优势.1997年香港回归后,在香港特区政府、社会各界的共同努力下,龙狮运动得到了长足发展,并逐步形成了5个特征,分别是:政府社会双轮驱动、学校推广潜力巨大、非遗传承成为显学、创新发展与时俱进、两地交流青少担纲.

The Dragon and Lion Dance is one of the popular traditional folk culture in Hong Kong region society,which has a good foundation for development and dissemination advantages in Hong Kong region.After the return of Hong Kong in 1997,with the joint efforts of the Hong Kong government and all sectors of the community,the Dragon and Lion Dance has been greatly developed and formed five characteristics gradually,which includes:government and society play a role together,the school system has great potential,the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage has become a prominent work,keeping up with the times and innovate,young people have become the main force of dragon and lion dance exchanges between Hong Kong region and the China's mainland.
