In the broadcasting and television industry,with the rapid development of 4K and 8K ultra high definition technology,higher requirements have been placed on signal transmission,requiring higher bandwidth and lower latency.In this situation,traditional Serial Digital Interface(SDI)technology is no longer sufficient and needs to be converted to Internet Protocol(IP).This article mainly elaborates on the limitations of SDI technology and the advantages of IP technology.It is found that IP-based can not only improve transmission efficiency and reduce transmission costs,but also promote innovation and development in the broadcasting and television industry.
