“禹兴西羌”说考辨

A Study on the Legend of"Yu Xing Xi Qiang"

禹为夏祖,禹诞生地的确认关乎夏人发源地和夏文化发祥地的考订。目前,学界关于禹诞生地的观点,以“禹出四川”说呼声最高。古书记载的夏人故地皆在中原,夏墟考古则以豫西、晋南为关注焦点,均与四川相距甚远,故“禹出四川”说的真实性需要重新审视。“禹出四川”说依据是“禹兴西羌”和“禹生石纽”。详考“禹兴西羌”和“禹生石纽”两个传说生成和流变,可以证明“禹出四川”实为层累造成的传说,而非历史的事实。

Yu is the ancestor of the Xia people.The confirmation of the birthplace of Yu the Great is related to the study of the Xia people and the birthplace of Xia culture.At present,the academic view the birthplace of"Yu the Great was born in Sichuan"has been widely accepted.The former residence of the Xia people recorded in ancient books was in Central China.The archaeology of the ruins of Xia focuses on western Henan and southern Shanxi,which are both far away from Sichuan,so the authenticity of the statement that"Yu the Great was born in Sichuan"needs to be re-examined.The statement that Yu the Great was born in Sichuan"is based on"Yu the Great was born in Xiqiang"and"Yu the Great was born in Shiniu".A detailed examination of the formation and rheological changes of the two legends of"Yu the Great was born in Xiqiang"and"Yu the Great was born in Shiniu"can prove that"Yu the Great was born in Sichuan"is actually a legend caused by layers,not a historical fact.
