With the acceleration of global economic integration and the continuous expansion of exchanges in various fields such as information,culture,and technology,the phenomenon of convergence in landscape design is becoming increasingly severe in order to keep up with the trend of social development,and there is a serious lack of regional culture.The article analyzes how Shanghai Songjiang Fangta Garden understands and applies local culture in terms of historical and cultural connotations,natural spirit,regional characteristics,and other aspects,and summarizes its design methods and concepts,in order to discover suitable concepts and methods for modern landscape design,so that modern design can truly go from being original to being new with the past,and provide inspiration for creating landscape design that can not only showcase local cultural characteristics but also meet the requirements of modern urban development.
