摘要
“引导路径”改革实质上是美国社区学院对其组织与文化进行的根本性反思。社区学院改革热已持续了十多年,但“自助餐厅”模式未能大幅提高学生的学业完成率、扩大教育公平,未能满足社区学院、美国政府、美国民众这三方的利益诉求。“引导路径”项目对社区学院结构本身的合理性提出质疑,创建了结构更清晰、教育上更连贯的改革路径,对社区学院的课程进行了重新设计,最大限度地扩大了学生获得机会以及取得成功的可能性。
The"guiding path"reform is a fundamental reflection on the organization and culture of American community colleges.Community college reform has been hot for more than a decade,but the"cafeteria"model has failed to significantly improve students'academic completion rate,expand educational equity,and fail to meet the interests of community colleges,the U.S.government,and the American people.The Guided Paths project queries the legitimacy of the community college structure itself,creates a more structured and educationally coherent path to reform,and redesigns the community college curriculum to maximize student access and success.
