特质情绪智力及情绪调节策略对大学生二语学习成效的预测作用

The Predictive Effects of Trait Emotional Intelligence and Emotion Regulation Strategies on University Students'L2 Learning Outcomes

特质情绪智力和情绪调节在二语学习中发挥重要作用,但其对二语学习成效的预测作用仍不清楚。本研究基于EMPATHICS模型和情绪调节过程模型,采用问卷调查法探究385名中国大学生的特质情绪智力、情绪调节策略使用及其二语学习成效之间的关系,并通过访谈考察特质情绪智力与情绪调节策略预测二语学习成效的原因。研究结果表明,特质情绪智力不仅可以直接预测二语学习成效,还可以通过认知重评间接预测二语学习成效。特质情绪智力可以预测表达抑制,而表达抑制未能在特质情绪智力和二语学习成效之间发挥中介作用。访谈显示,学习投入、二语学习情绪与动机在“特质情绪智力→认知重评→二语学习成效”路径中起关键作用。本研究发现为引导学习者有效运用情绪调节策略提供了启示。

While trait emotional intelligence and emotion regulation have significant impacts on L2 learning,their predictive effects on L2 learning outcomes remain unclear.Drawing on the EMPATHICS model and the process model of emotion regulation,the present study investigated the relationship between trait emotional intelligence,emotion regulation strategies,and L2 learning outcomes among 385 Chinese university students through a questionnaire survey.Interviews were also conducted to explore the reasons why trait emotional intelligence and emotion regulation strategies may predict L2 learning outcomes.Results revealed that trait emotional intelligence not only had a direct effect on L2 learning outcomes,but also indirectly predicted L2 learning outcomes through cognitive reappraisal.Trait emotional intelligence predicted expressive suppression,while expressive suppression did not mediate the relationship between trait emotional intelligence and L2 learning outcomes.The interviews showed that learning engagement,L2 learning emotions,and motivation were crucial in the path of"trait emotional intelligence→cognitive reappraisal→L2 learning outcomes".These findings provide implications for guiding learners to effectively use emotion regulation strategies.
