元代独山玉的造型与纹饰是在多元文化背景下发展起来的,元代玉器在造型上,多为器皿和装饰品,部分沿袭了辽金玉器的艺术特色,采用多层透雕的工艺技术。在纹饰上,立足于草原文化,同时吸取外来文化的精髓,形成了粗犷、豪迈、刚劲的艺术风格,为中国玉器发展史上重要的一环。

The shape and decoration of Dushan jade in the Yuan Dynasty were developed in a multi-cultural background.In terms of shape,the jade wares of the Yuan Dynasty were mostly utensils and decorations.Some of them inherited the artistic characteristics of the Liao and Jin Jade wares and adopted multi-layer openwork technology.In the terms of decoration,it is based on grassland culture while absorbing the essence of foreign culture,forming a rough,heroic and vigorous artistic style,which is an important part of the development history of Chinese jade.
