Demonstration of 10 Gbps satellite-to-ground laser communications in engineering

摘要 In June 2023,researchers at the Aerospace Information Research Institute(AIR)of the Chinese Academy of Sciences undertook a series of experiments on satellite-to-ground laser communication using the Jilin-1 MF02A04(JLMF)satellite and independently developed a 500 mm optical communication ground station(AIROSG),achieving a successful throughput of 10 gigabits per second(Gbps)in the satellite-to-ground optical link.The obtained satellite payload data demonstrated good performance and satisfied the requirements of high-standard scientific applications.
