The Global Civilization Initiative can be regarded as a response to the global community's need for increasing inter-civilizational communication and more robust cultural growth.On March 15,2023,Chinese President Xi Jinping,also general secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee,proposed the Global Civilization Initiative(GCI),calling for respect for the diversity of civilizations at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties Highlevel Meeting.The GCI was proposed by Xi after the Global Development Initiative(GDI)and the Global Security Initiative(GSI).
