The Formation and Characteristics of Women Editors in Ming-Qing Period

明清是古代女性文化发展的兴盛时期,突出表现为女性著作的大量编辑刻印,现存女性别集、总集、诗话等各类文献中许多由女性编辑而成,组成一个颇具规模的女性编辑群体,涌现出沈宜修、王端淑、汪端、恽珠、沈善宝等一批编辑大家,她们以才、学、识兼备的编辑能力,为我们留下了《名媛诗纬初编》《国朝闺秀正始集》等多部经典之作;同时,传承、创新、丰富了古代编辑思想,深具为女性存诗存人,为历史补阙、纠误的文献学价值。

The Ming-Qing period marked a flourishing era in the development of ancient women’s culture,notably manifested through the extensive editing and printing of works by women.Many existing literary documents,including collections,anthologies,and poetic discussions,were composed by women editors,forming a considerable women editors’group.Prominent editors such as Shen Yixiu,Wang Duanshu,Wang Duan,Yun Zhu,and Shen Shanbao emerged,showcasing a combination of talent,knowledge,and editorial skills.They have left us with classic works like Poetry of Distinguished Women and Collection of Virtuous Ladies in Qing Dynasty.Their contributions have inherited,innovated,and enriched ancient editorial thoughts,profoundly preserving poetry and lives of women.The works hold significant philological value by correcting historical omissions and errors.
