AndréBazin is an important advocate of the idea of“invisibility of the technique”in films.As an important interpreter of the Neorealist film aesthetics,AndréBazin advocates the invisibility of technique in the use of film language.And correspondingly,he expresses his appreciations for the disappearance of plot,story,actors and mise-en-scène(the arrangement of scenery and stage properties)in his film reviews.Bazin’s views are both related to his pursuit of the neorealist aesthetic style and his earnest admiration for the“invisibility of the technique”.AndréBazin regarded the language strategy and narrative style of Neorealism as a stylistic pursuit without any technique or trace,achieving the Neorealist film style through a transparent and ambiguous signifier system and the use of traceless film language.AndréBazin’s pursuit of“invisibility of the technique”reflects his adherence to aesthetic principles and respect for artistic value.
