Scholars hold different views on“science”and“technology”or“science and technology”.It has long been believed that the expression should be“science”and“technology”,because“science and technology”was just used in the 19th century.The substitution of“science”and“technology”indicates that there is commonality between“science”and“technology”.The combination between the early“classical science”focusing on theories and“bacon science”focusing on experiments began with chemistry and thus broke the gap.This research explores the“solution”between“science”and“technology”with the“explanatory gap”.The combination of“science”and“technology”in the 19th century has produced great power,which currently provides a perspective for developing the past“science”and“technology”and exploring the future“science”and“technology”to explain the long-standing division and combination of“science”and“technology”.
