木糖醇医学应用研究进展

摘要 木糖醇在工业、农业、食品、医药等领域广泛应用, 其多元醇特性在防龋剂中的应用在既往几十年更是享有盛誉。目前更多的木糖醇医学应用及其研究主要集中在与糖消费量相关的代谢综合征、糖尿病和肥胖等疾患的保健与防治领域。这是因为木糖醇具有低糖指数、低热量及代谢不依赖胰岛素等特点, 木糖醇可降低血糖, 减少内脏脂肪积聚和减轻体重, 同时具有调节脂代谢、骨代谢、肠道菌群等多重作用, 这赋予木糖醇这样的健康甜味剂巨大的应用前景。 Xylitol is widely used in industries,agriculture,food,medicine,and other fields,and its polyol properties have been well known in the application of caries inhibitors for decades.At present,more medical applications and researches of xylitol are mainly focused on the health care and prevention of metabolic syndrome,diabetes,and obesity related to sugar consumption.This is because xylitol has the characteristics of a low glycemic index,low calorie intake,and metabolism independent of insulin.It can lower blood sugar,reduce visceral fat accumulation,and reduce weight.At the same time,it has multiple effects such as regulating lipid metabolism,bone metabolism,and gut microbiota.This gives xylitol,a healthy sweetener,great potential for future applications.
