区域创新效率视角下城镇化对碳排放的影响机制研究

摘要 研究构建了区域创新效率、城镇化与碳排放三者之间的作用机理,并基于2010—2020年中国30个省级面板数据,通过OLS方法实证分析了城镇化对碳排放的影响以及区域创新效率的间接作用,并通过构建以区域创新效率为阈值的面板门槛模型,实证检验了城镇化对碳排放的非线性影响机制。结果表明:整体上城镇化仍然会增加碳排放,同时也会抑制区域创新效率,导致城镇化过程中节能环保产业的创新动力不足,引起碳排放量的增加。分地区考察发现,城镇化对碳排放的影响与区域创新效率的间接效应存在异质性。东部地区城镇化可以显著降低碳排放量;中部地区城镇化对碳排放的促减作用并不显著;而西部地区城镇化进程则会增加碳排放。门槛检验结果表明,在控制其他变量的基础上,城镇化对碳减排的影响存在基于区域创新效率的双重门槛效应,只有区域创新效率达到一定门槛值时,城镇化才能更加有效地减少碳排放。 The research construct the mechanism of action among regional innovation efficiency,urbanization and carbon emission,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of urbanization on carbon emission and the indirect role of regional innovation efficiency by OLS method based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2010 to 2020,and the panel threshold model with regional innovation efficiency as the threshold is constructed to empirically test the non-linear impact mechanism of urbanization on carbon emission.The results show that urbanization will still increase carbon emission as a whole,and at the same time,it will also inhibit regional innovation efficiency,leading to insufficient innovation motivation for energy saving and environmental protection industries in the process of urbanization,and the increase of carbon emission.It is found that there is heterogeneity between the impact of urbanization on carbon emission and the indirect effect of regional innovation efficiency.As far as the comprehensive effect is concerned,urbanization in the eastern region can significantly reduce carbon emission,while the role of urbanization in the central region on reducing carbon emission is not significant,while urbanization in the western region will increase carbon emission.The threshold results show that on the basis of controlling other variables,there are double threshold effects of urbanization on carbon emission reduction based on regional innovation efficiency;only when regional innovation efficiency reaches a certain threshold,can urbanization reduce carbon emissions more effectively.
