Recently,the gut microbiota has been recognized as a novel endocrine organ in the human body.It produces various bioactive metabolites and participates in metabolic processes.In addition,the gut microbiota is involved in the metabolism of drugs and natural components,which in turn influences the effects of various oral medications.
