Projects in the field of municipal engineering are social infrastructure projects aimed at putting people first,serving the general public,and enhancing urban development.The construction of municipal engineering projects is of profound significance,based on the principles of green mountains and clear waters,energy conservation,improvement of social infrastructure,and improvement of living conditions for residents.In order to ensure the economy and high quality of municipal engineering projects,cost control is crucial in the construction process,thereby safeguarding the interests of the country and the people.This article uses the earned value method to combine cost control with schedule control,comprehensively,and scientifically carry out work,dynamically control throughout the entire cycle,identify problems during the construction process,and correct them in a timely manner.
