浅析《拓拔昇墓志》之“王壁”

A Brief Analysis of the"Wangbi"in The Epitaph of Tuoba Sheng

关于《拓跋昇墓志》,整理者所作释文基本准确,但是在目前较有影响的三个版本中,有一地名却分别被记录为“王壁”“王璧”“玉璧”。文章依据墓志拓片,结合文字学、历史学等知识对这三种不同的词形进行了探讨,发现“王”实为“玉”的俗字,该地本是因“形似玉璧”而得名,应记录为“玉璧”,但是在史籍中被误传为“玉壁”。通过研究,以期为人们进一步研究该墓志提供参考,为当地乡土文化建设和国家标准化定名提供一定的历史依据。

As for The Epitaph of Tuoba Sheng,the explanation made by the corrector is basically accurate.However,in the three versions that are more infl uential at present,one place name is recorded as"Wangbi","Wangbi"and"Yubi"respectively.Based on the epitaph rubbings,combined with the knowledge of philology and history,the paper analyzes and discusses these three diff erent forms of writing,and finds that"Wang"is actually the common corrupted word of"Yu",the place is originally named because of the"shape like Jade round",and should be recorded as"Yubi",but it was misdescribed as"Yubi"in historical records.Through the research,it is expected to provide a certain reference for people to further accurately interpret and study the epitaph,and provide a certain historical basis for the construction of local culture and the national standardization of the name.
