College Student Village Officials and Rural Family Financial Market Participation

随着乡村振兴战略的推进,探索促进农村家庭金融市场参与的有效途径,对于优化农村金融服务体系、推动普惠金融高质量发展具有重要意义。本文基于2020年“六省普惠金融调查”数据,运用Probit模型实证检验了大学生村官对农村家庭金融市场参与的影响及其作用机制。研究结论如下:基准回归结果表明,大学生村官显著促进了农村家庭金融市场参与,并且,主要促进了农村家庭银行理财参与和互联网理财参与。机制分析表明,家庭收入水平的提高、金融素养的提升和金融可得性的增强,是大学生村官推动农村家庭金融市场参与的重要机制。异质性分析表明,对于缺乏金融知识培训或希望参加金融投资的农村家庭,大学生村官促进家庭金融市场参与的影响更加显著。在信贷条件相对宽松的家庭中,大学生村官促进农村家庭金融市场参与的作用则更为明显。这一研究揭示了大学生村官在促进农村金融发展中的重要作用,为发挥人才在乡村振兴中的作用和农村金融市场的健康发展提供了理论基础。

With the deepening of China's poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategies,the quality of life of rural residents has been significantly improved,and the income gap between urban and rural residents has been gradually narrowed.However,despite the obvious improvement in the economic conditions of rural households,their participation in the financial market remains relatively low.Against this background,college⁃graduate village officials,as a crucial force in the rural revitalization strategy,not only actively participate in village⁃level economic construction but also play a pivotal role in popularizing financial knowledge and enhancing farmerfinancial literacy,which deserves further study.Professional skills training and policy support should be provided for college student village officials to ensure that they fully play a unique role in promoting rural development.At the same time,it is also necessary to accelerate the popularization of rural financial service networks,deepen financial knowledge popularization and educational activities,and innovate and launch more financial products and services that meet the actual needs of farmers,thereby providing solid and powerful financial support for the full implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.Relying on the data from the inclusive finance survey in six provinces,this paper analyzes the impact of college graduate village officials on rural householdsparticipation in the financial market.The research results show that the arrival of college⁃graduate village officials has promoted rural householdsparticipation in the financial market,especially increasing their allocation of financial products such as bank wealth management and Internet wealth management.Further research reveals that the growth of rural household income,the improvement of financial literacy,and the enhancement of rural financial accessibility are key driving factors behind this phenomenon.In the heterogeneity analysis,this paper finds that for rural families who lack financial knowledge or wish to participate in financial investment,college⁃graduate village officials have a more significant impact on promoting their participation in the financial market.In addition,for families with relatively loose credit conditions,the role of college⁃graduate village officials in promoting rural familiesfinancial market participation is more significant.The results of this paper not only provide strong empirical support for revealing the underlying reasons for the low participation of rural households in the financial market but also provide solid theoretical support for attracting and retaining talents and supporting rural revitalization.At the same time,it is also necessary to accelerate the popularization of rural financial service networks,deepen financial knowledge popularization and educational activities,and launch more financial products and services that meet the actual needs of farmers,thereby providing solid and powerful financial support for the full implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
