Individual identity is the foundation and key for the ideals and beliefs of socialism with Chinese characteristics to truly be“believed”and“acted upon”by college students.Empowering individual identity in the education of ideals and beliefs among contemporary college students entails a clear understanding of the theoretical foundations,a critical assessment of existing challenges,and a determined exploration of the pathway of practice.In the process of exploring practical pathways,it is necessary to achieve a harmonious relationship between social expectations and student growth in terms of philosophy,a balance between self-construction and external tensions in terms of goals,a resonance between cognitive initiative and value self-discipline in terms of subjects,a co-promotion of content production and discourse optimization in terms of objects,an integration of real-world applicability and insights into the new era in terms of approaches,and a reconstruction of thinking,institution,and culture in terms of evaluation.
