Epstein-Barr Virus(EBV),a common non-hepatophil DNA viruses, has long been confirmed to cause liver injury and liver abnormalities, and it has become an important indicators for clinicians to screen patients with liver function abnormalities. However,There is a lack of effective integration in the past research results of EBV-related liver injury. This systematic paper comprehensively discussed the research progress of EBV-related liver injury by combing relevant literature, including the overview of EBV,infection status, transmission mode, disease types, the possible mechanism of liver injury and its influence on clinical diagnosis and treatment,as well as the future research direction of EBV-related liver injury. This study suggests that EBV-related liver damage might be persistent and have serious consequences, resulting in a significant global disease burden. Therefore, clinicians must pay enough attention for identifying it early, and taking effective measures as soon as possible to maximize the benefit of patients.
