It is an important task of ethnic work in the new era to take the consciousness of Chinese national community as the main line and promote the construction of Chinese national community,so as to stimulate and gather the resources of the people of all ethnic groups to work together for modernization.The logic of the historical development of Chinese nation for thousands of years of continuous selfimprovement internally defines the target of promoting the construction of Chinese national community in the new era.The Chinese nation has gone through the process of independent development in ancient times and the process of national consciousness in modern times,and under the leadership of Communist Party of China in modern times it has embarked on a self-centred development path of exploring the construction of Chinese nation community.The goal of promoting the construction of Chinese national community in the new era is to create a sense of Chinese national community among the people of all ethnic groups through political,economic,cultural,social and ecological construction,and to make the Chinese nation indestructible.To this end,ethnic work in the new era should focus on the main line of instilling a strong sense of Chinese national community,and take up the key work of exploring practical ways to promote the construction of Chinese national community.
