摘要
新时期初涌现出一批知识分子题材小说,谌容的《人到中年》无疑是其中的重要代表。从身体的外部形貌、内在欲望及其与精神的关系三个层面进入文本,可以发现久被遮蔽的知识分子身体再度浮出历史地表。其中,知识分子身体的外部形貌得以重塑,作者将具有小资情调的“衬衣皮鞋”等服饰悄然替换,代之以“智慧的眼睛”,其所表征的“知性美”也在审美地位上超越了20世纪50至70年代大为推崇的“健美”;此外,萌发于身体内部的欲望也在一定限度内获得出场的合法性;但近代以降的现代性诉求使身体在与精神的关系中仍处于被统摄地位。由此,知识分子主体性悖论和新时期初小说承上启下的书写面貌得以展现。
At the beginning of the New Period,a number of novels about intellectuals emerged,and CHEN Rong's At Middle Age is undoubtedly an important representative of them.Exploring the text from the three aspects of the external appearance of the body,the internal desire and its relationship with the spirit,we can find that the long-obscured intellectual body resurfaces in history.Among them,the external appearance of the intellectual body was reshaped,and the author quietly replaced the"shirts and shoes"and other clothes with"intelligent eyes".The"intellectual beauty"represented by them also surpassed the"bodybuilding"greatly admired from the 1950s to 1970s in aesthetic status.Moreover,the desires that originated within the body have also gained legitimacy to a certain extent.However,the modern appeal of modernity makes the body still in a dominant position in its relationship with the spirit.Thus,the paradox of intellectual subjectivity and the writing face of the novel in the early New Period can be manifested.
