Objective:To analyze the effect of postoperative pain management on negative emotions and sleep status in patients with gastric cancer. Methods:Set August 2022 to October 2023 as the observation period and set 90 gastric cancer patients who received surgical treatment in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department of Quanzhou First Hospital as the research subjects.Using Zheng Dici′s method, the enrolled patients were randomly divided into a study group(n=45,receiving postoperative pain management)and a control group(n=45,receiving routine perioperative management).Compare the differences in negative emotions and sleep status between the two groups of patients after intervention. Results:There was no significant difference in HAMA,HAMD,and PSQI scores between the two groups before treatment evaluation(P>0.05).Using a scale of assessment and inter-group comparison showed that after intervention, the scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The rehabilitation process of the study group was faster than that of the control group(reflected explicitly in the time of getting out of bed and hospitalization)(P<0.05).Conclusion:Active postoperative pain management for gastric cancer surgery patients can help improve their anxiety and depression, improve their sleep quality, and accelerate their postoperative recovery process, which has specific promotion and application value.
