There is a close connection between regional cultural elements and modern landscape architecture,which can serve as the main type of creative elements and inspiration source in landscape design.The article elaborates on the concept and characteristics of regional cultural elements;analyzed the application scope of regional cultural elements in modern landscape architecture design from the aspects of landscape layout,artistic decoration,architectural style,and functional development;based on modern landscape design ideas,design strategies have been proposed from the aspects of element extraction,expression techniques,and atmosphere creation,aiming to provide reference for research in related fields.
