摘要
Human body-related vocabulary is rich in cultural implications.At the same time,the use of metaphorical meanings is a common phenomenon when these words are combined with other vocabulary.In the Mongolian Dictionary,seven meanings of AM(mouth)are elucidated,along with 156 associated phrases.Utilizing the approach of cognitive linguistics,this article delves deeply into the analysis of AM(mouth).Firstly,the semantics are summarized into 9 categories,encompassing 6 semantic scopes.Secondly,it is believed that sensory basis and analogical basis form the foundation for the formation of metaphorical meanings in human body-related vocabulary AM(mouth).Finally,through an examination of religious beliefs,nomadic customs,and daily life practices,the cultural implications of AM(mouth)are revealed.
