'A Coming Swan Goose','A Coming Book'(a surrogate preface)and'After Falling Ill',are three long letters to his friend Zhu Fu’ou by Qin Zihao that were published, respectively in July,1933,and February 1934,in the'West Bells'supplement to Sichuan Morning Paper, and they are also the earliest existent letters of his. However, there are newly discovered lost poems of Qin’s,which are'Tears of Music','Missing','Autumnal Willows'and'Under the Moon'.Two poems,'The Bath Site'and'Saturday',published in Kong De Arts and Literature(No.6,1 December 1933)are Qin Zihao’s even though their author is'Ge Feng'.Historical material like these lost letters and lost poems contains rich information on Qin Zihao’s own life, his dealings with the literary world and his poetic creation, revealing the poet’s unique world of emotions and poetic concepts in the early years, and also reflected his treasured effort in seeking to break through the poetic style, which means that the poet had a plentiful production of poetry while he was in Yantai and Beiping,as he was not only an active literary youth in and outside the campus but he kept correspondence with other literary friends such as Zhu Fu’ou from his hometown, discussing the arts of poetry.
