Blooming Cherry Blossoms in Fushan

清代吴敬梓写过这样的诗句:“旧水何堪饮社翁,兼旬兀坐雨声中。因过村舍知春尽,渐见含桃火齐红。”这里的含桃即樱桃,诗中所写的樱桃是小樱桃。小樱桃是土生土长的中国樱桃,而现在更为我们所熟知的大樱桃则是欧洲甜樱桃。传统的中国樱桃果实个头小,果皮薄,所以俗称小樱桃。欧洲甜樱桃果个大,果皮厚,所以被称为大樱桃。小樱桃在中国已有几千年的栽培历史。它的名字,曾几经演变,有莺桃、含桃、荆桃、樱珠等。

Big cherry originated and thrived in Fushan.Its future development should also lie in Fushan.Beautiful cherry blossoms are blooming in Fushan.Today,strolling through the countryside of Fushan and enjoying the sea of cherry blossoms,we cannot help but recall the poem of"Cherry Blossoms"by Fang Hui,a poet in the Yuan Dynasty:"The light-colored flowers bloom in chilly breeze,and its beauty can hardly be depicted for lack of proper shades of color.The blossoms are too delicate to reveal its full beauty,as if they intend to reserve the red color for futurecherries".
