为什么让-吕克·戈达尔在其91岁高龄之际选择协助自杀这件事与我们每一个人有关?因为,戈达尔就是历史。诚然,身为一个难以归类的创作者,戈达尔一生都活在一种绝对的孤立中,但这并非一种唯我、自恋式的状态,反之,充斥其间的各式群像,早已成为世界的映照,言下之意,要说戈达尔其人其思最终何以泽被四方,其主因无非在此,而这个与赋形存在深层联结的关键现象,最后亦将成为他在面对生命乃至死亡时的极致解法:要走,就要走得无亏无欠。
Why does Jean-Luc Godard’s death at the age of 91 via the method of assisted suicide concern us all?The answer is as simple as this:Godard is history.True,as an unclassifiable auteur-demiurge,Godard lives in a definite solitude during his lifetime.Nevertheless,far from being a solipsistic or narcissistic one,such a solitude,extremely peopled,has already become the reflection of the world,and this,quite arguably,might account for his influences upon almost every discipline,domain,and sphere.A phenomenon profoundly related to the question of mise en forme as such could,in a corollary manner,be Godard’s absolute answer to life,and to death as well:if leaving is something unbearably inevitable,one has to leave complete,that is,debt-free.
