To explore and evaluate the effect of wetland restoration project in Yangcheng Lake during the normal, low, and high water periods phytoplankton monitoring were carried out from 2020 to 2021,with 11 locations set up,including 6 in the restoration area. There were 74 species belonging to 8 phyla and 74 genera from 33 phytoplankton samples.During dry season, phytoplankton density in the restoration area was only 5.1%of that in the non-restoration area.In wet season, phytoplankton density in restoration area was 35.2%compare with restored area. The number of dominant alga species in the non-restored area was only 64.3%of that in the wetland restoration area. The mean values of Margalef richness index(D),Shannon diversity index(H'),Simpson diversity index(λ)and Pielou evenness-index(J')in the wetland restoration area were higher than those in the non-restored area.It is pointed out that the phytoplankton community in the restoration area is more stable and complex, and the wetland restoration has a certain effect on the water quality purification of Yangcheng Lake.
