Japanese euphemism is one of the characteristics of the Japanese language and a very common form of expression.Japanese people use euphemisms everywhere in their daily lives,which not only reflects the personality traits of Japanese euphemism and ambiguity,but also reflects the cultural characteristics of Japan since ancient times.Japanese euphemisms are closely related to Japan's geographical location,historical background,as well as its lifestyle,social habits,and national culture.In Japanese,euphemisms have multiple expressions and are frequently used.For Japanese learners,learning euphemisms plays an important role in Japanese language learning.According to Searle's theory of indirect speech acts,euphemism is a typical representative.This article will analyze euphemisms in Japanese and categorize them briefly,in order to provide assistance for the learning and research of euphemisms.
