Financial Deepening,Independent Innovation and Balanced Economic Development

基于2013-2022年中国31个省市区面板数据,将金融深化、自主创新与经济均衡发展纳入统一框架,旨在厘清三者本质关系与内在逻辑。结果得出:自主创新对经济均衡发展存有非线性U型作用,且呈现地区异质性特征。机制解析显示,自主创新可经由产业结构升级与技术进步两大重要渠道,提升经济均衡发展水平。门槛效应检验发现,伴随着金融深化程度加深,自主创新对经济均衡发展积极作用逐渐强化,即在自主创新影响经济均衡发展过程中,金融深化具有正向调节作用。据此,应通过完善知识产权保护制度,持续加大创新投入;注重技术与产业协同发展,优化产业结构;顺应数字化转型趋势,稳态强化金融深化程度,进一步发挥金融驱动创新作用,助推经济均衡化发展。

Based on panel data from 31 provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions in China from 2013 to 2022,this paper integrates financial deepening,independent innovation,and bal-anced economic development into a unified framework,aiming to clarify the essential relationship and internal logic of the three.The results show that independent innovation has a non-linear U-shaped effect on balanced economic development,and exhibits regional heterogeneity characteristics.Mech-anism analysis shows that independent innovation can improve the level of balanced economic devel-opment through two important channels of industrial structure upgrading and technological progress.The threshold effect test found that with the deepening of financial deepening,the positive role of in-dependent innovation on the balanced economic development was gradually strengthened,that is,in the process of independent innovation affecting the balanced economic development,financial deep-ening had a positive regulating effect.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the intellectual property protection system and continuously increase investment in innovation,emphasize the coordinated development of technology and industry,optimize industrial structure,comply with the trend of dig-ital transformation,steadily strengthen the degree of financial deepening,further leverage the role of finance in driving innovation,and promote balanced economic development.
