The Dissemination and Acceptance of Mao Kun’s Poetry and Prose During the Ming and Qing Dynasties

茅坤是明代中期著名的文学家,其诗文著作传播始于明代嘉靖间,在万历间达到顶点,以刊印别集、选编选本、选录散篇的多种形式传播,传播形式发展均衡。万历之后,茅坤诗文传播形式减少、数量逐渐下降。清代茅坤诗文以散篇诗文为主要传播形式,刊印别集等其他传播形式变少,清人对茅坤古文的评价以批驳为主。

Mao Kun was a famous litterateur in the middle of the Ming Dynasty.The dissemination of his poetry and works began between Jiajing and Wanli in the Ming Dynasty,and reached its peak in Wanli.The dissemination was carried out in various forms,including the publication of separate collections,selected editions,and selected essays.The development of the dissemination form was balanced.After Wanli,the form and quantity of communication gradually declined.In the Qing Dynasty,the main form of communication was prose,and other forms of communication,such as the publication of separate collections,became less.The Qing people's evaluation of their ancient writings was mainly criticism.
